It is almost that time! My clematis will be growing very tall over a trellis, full, and in bloom again, soon. I look forward to seeing it each year. I know, that when it arrives, spring is here! Each flower it produces is unique, yes there are similarities, but no two are exactly alike. Some are more open than others, some are larger, some smaller, some have flat petals, some have rippled fluttery waves and curls in the petals, some bloom early, some not until the end of the season. The blooms later in the season tend to be smaller in size, but just as beautiful, and sometimes much more colorful that the vines first blooms. We don't often take a close enough look, to notice the individual beauty in the world around us. We often overlook, or don't pay attention to the uniqueness that we each possess, just focusing on and exposing the faults, dislikes, and differences. Don't stand back and just judge someone from a distance, you will miss so much. Walk up close, dive in, pay attention. Each person and thing that we encounter influences our world, and the choices we make. Slow down, and take some time to notice the small stuff, the little things, the stuff that can impact your life on a level that you could never have imagined, if you just take notice. There's no guarantee that each experience will be good, but even if you are coming away from a bad experience, know that a lesson has still been learned, and you are stronger and wiser because of it.
Clematis vine photograph. Originally, this image began as a pink flower, through digital enhancements, it has been transformed to black and white with a touch of color down the center of each petal.
