Finally feeling the warmest day we have had in a very long time.  It's amazing how the sun can cheer you up, revive you, sort of makes you feel invigorated, especially after the weather has been consistently gloomy.  This digital painting was created from a photgraph of the sunset. The bright warm  glow of the sun,  reminded me of the colors and warmth  of today.  I am ready for spring, and am hoping to see more of these bright sunny days to come very soon.

The Guards

Needing a little warmth today? Me too!  This fiery red should warm you right up....lol, I wish it were that easy.  This piece is titled "The Guards",  The original art began as a photograph of the beach, the sunset, the sky, clouds, and water.  Through transforming the image, the guards images with faces, to watch over, were created on either side of this digital image, which are the remnants of the clouds from the photograph.  I like the feeling of depth, which gives the illusion of an abstract image being guarded in the center.

Happy Friday

Happy Day, it's Friday, fitting for a piece that makes me feel happy too.  When I take a photograph, and digitally manipulate it, I never know what the final outcome will be.
Loved working with this one,  the color and  the whimsy of this flower. The mirrored image created a butterfly shape midway through the  floating flower, and a heart with the stamens towards the top.
Light and refreshing, original colors,  hope this makes you feel happy today too!
The original photograph was taken at Forest Park, St. Louis, Missouri.

Start of a good day

Digitally enhanced photograph. This color combination of teal and red,  is one of my favorites, I find it recurring, in various shades and tones in many of my pieces.
